Sunday afternoon after visiting our awesome friends down at The Good Beer Company, we (jay) walked across the street to peek inside the former Tabu restaurant to see how far the new Mediterranean spot was coming along.
As we peered through the windows, we were met by “Mo”, the owner of the new restaurant to be, and he most graciously invited us inside to look around and enjoy a sandwich he just made.
Having previously ran a restaurant in Washington D.C. for several years, it was only until recently that Mo discovered (and fell in love with) Santa Ana after a family member living in DTSA turned him on to this very special and quaint area.
Mo’s Place will feature “something for everyone”, including a burger sandwich, a few Mexican items, along with their main menu featuring traditional Mediterranean cuisine. Mo’s Place is “scheduled” to open today (03/03), but the restaurant business is very fickle and things could always change.
We’ll update this post as we hear more!
